Holy Family Workshop

Our team made its way to Holy Family Ashaniwas, an orphanage for female children, situated in New Delhi. Along with a donation of approximately 1000 sanitary products, a candid conversation on menstruation and puberty ensued.

Our interaction with the girls between the ages of 12-17 gave us the opportunity to explain the various processes involves in menstruation, what it is, and why it happens. Along with this, we discussed key issues such as vaginal discharge and how to deal with changes during puberty. The students were excited and enthusiastic to participate in the discussion, share their stories, and ask their questions.

We believe that it is extremely important for these children to understand what goes on inside their body so they can deal with it efficiently and have access to resources that make this phase a smooth transition.
