Pehchaan: Puberty and Growing Up

On 24th June, we made our way to Pehchaan the street school, a universe of stories within a little settlement near Inderprastha Metro Station. With a group of approximately thirty children, our workshop kick started with a discussion helping us understand the challenges one faces while growing up.

The workshop covered a wide range of themes and topics, including puberty, menstruation and how boys as well as girls should react to it, understanding our sexual organs and their functions, as well as personal hygiene.

We found the students eager to learn and understand the things that set them apart from their peers and thoroughly comprehending the changes their bodies are currently facing.
